Timber Seawall Replacement and Shoreline Stabilization

We've spent more than 20 years protecting waterfront properties across Merritt Island and the Space Coast. Our licensed team provides free estimates and thorough site evaluations for both residential and commercial clients, ensuring your shoreline is stable and your seawall is built to last.
Choosing the Right Materials

Choosing the Right Materials

Natural Timber Seawalls for Your Shoreline

If you want to protect your Merritt Island property without losing that classic look, a timber seawall is a great, cost-effective choice. We use pressure-treated southern yellow pine or cypress that is specifically rated for ground contact and saltwater. These materials are built to resist rot and insects, making them a solid barrier for homes along the Indian River Lagoon and local canals where a natural wood finish looks best.
How We Build Them

How We Build Them

Built to Stand Up to the Elements

We build our timber walls to last by driving heavy 6-inch vertical posts deep into the stable soil below the waterline. These posts hold up 2-inch thick horizontal planks, all secured with marine-grade stainless steel or galvanized hardware to fight off corrosion from the brackish water. To make sure the wall doesn't lean or buckle over time, we install tie-back rods that connect the wall to deadman anchors buried inland. This creates a rock-solid system that keeps your soil exactly where it belongs.
Drainage and Maintenance

Drainage and Maintenance

Making Your Seawall Last

One of the most important parts of a new seawall is what happens behind it. We grade the land to make sure rainwater flows away from the structure instead of pooling and putting pressure on the wood. While timber walls usually last about 10 to 15 years, our focus on proper drainage helps you get the most out of your investment. We also walk you through simple maintenance, like regular inspections and applying wood preservatives, to help your wall stand up to the Florida sun and the constant shift of the tides.

Expert Timber Seawall Construction

Strong, Reliable Shoreline Protection for Merritt Island

Timber seawalls are a smart, budget-friendly way to keep your shoreline stable without sacrificing a classic look. We focus on building walls that actually last, using heavy-duty pressure-treated materials and reinforced anchoring systems designed for the unique tides and salt of the Indian River Lagoon.

Treated Marine-Grade Wood
We use heavy-duty Southern Yellow Pine or Cypress treated specifically for saltwater. This protects your wall against rot, decay, and the marine borers that typically destroy standard wood.

Heavy-Duty Anchoring
To stop your wall from leaning or shifting, we install tie-back rods that connect the structure to solid deadman anchors buried inland. This gives the wall the leverage it needs to hold back soil pressure year after year.

Rust-Proof Hardware
We use high-quality galvanized or stainless steel fasteners to secure every plank. Florida's brackish water is tough on metal, so we use hardware that won't rust away or lose its strength.

Smart Drainage and Grading
We grade the area behind your seawall to keep rainwater moving away from the structure. This reduces pressure and stops the soil washouts that often lead to early seawall failure.
